Why we started Melodia Pelle.
Melodiapelle is a direct-to-customer luxury leather footwear brand, handcrafting every pair in Agra — the heartland of Indian shoemaking. Goodyear-welted leather, 380+ hand processes, and a made-to-order workshop that builds big sizes, hidden height increase, and full custom into the same shoe you actually want to wear — shipped across India and worldwide.
A brand built around what was missing.
Melodiapelle started with a pattern we kept noticing: the same well-made leather shoes that fit most people simply weren't built for everyone. Formal sizes stopped short of US 18, and anything that added height — most elevator shoes — looked like it was trying too hard.
We decided big size and height increase belonged to the same brand, not two separate ones. Instead of a "plus size" line or a "lift" line, we built every design to flex — in size up to US 18, and in concealed height — as custom, made-to-order leather shoes that never change the shoe you actually wanted to wear.
That shaped how we work today: nothing is made until it's ordered, every customisation — big size, hidden height increase, or bespoke detailing — is built into the design rather than bolted on, and the charge for any customisation is shown clearly before you commit.

The Problem
Standard sizing left too many people out
Most footwear brands stop at a "normal" range — both in size, and in what a shoe is quietly allowed to do for you. The moment you needed a big size, a shoe that adds height, or anything beyond that range, the options shrank fast and almost always got uglier.

The Idea
Build it into the shoe, not onto it
Instead of separate "plus size" or "elevator shoe" ranges, we decided every existing design should simply flex — in size, up to US 18, and in height, with a hidden internal lift — as a custom, made-to-order pair that never changes how the shoe looks or feels.

A Word From Our Founder
Built on a simple refusal to compromise.
When we started Melodia Pelle, the conviction was simple: a customer's size or height should never decide whether they get to wear a well-made shoe, or settle for a worse-looking one. For years I watched friends with larger feet hunt for a decent formal pair and come back with nothing. I watched shorter men buy "elevator shoes" that announced themselves from across the room. Both deserved better.
There was no shortcut for this. Building every design to flex in size and in hidden height, without changing how it looks, meant slower production and far more careful construction on every customised pair. It meant carving larger lasts, engineering lifts that disappear inside the shoe, and refusing to sell anything that looked like a compromise — but it was the only version of this brand I was ever willing to build.

That belief shaped everything about how we work in Agra. We use the same Goodyear welting, the same full-grain leathers, and the same hand processes whether a pair is a standard US 9 or a customised US 17 with a concealed two-inch lift. Nothing about the craft changes — only the fit becomes yours.
Every pair that leaves our workshop today still gets checked against that same standard: does it look exactly like it was designed to, regardless of who it was built for? That is the only metric that has ever mattered to us, and it always will.

Where heritage meets real-world fit.
Agra has handcrafted leather footwear for generations, and that craft runs through everything we make. I grew up around master artisans who could read a foot at a glance and build a shoe around it. My focus has always been on turning that inherited skill into something people across India and the world can actually wear — whatever their size, whatever their height.
Craft means nothing if it doesn't fit. So we obsess over the details most brands quietly skip: the proportionate larger lasts for big sizes, the hidden lifts engineered to vanish inside the shoe, the stitching and finish that stay identical to the standard pair. A US 18 from us is built with the same patience as any other — never stretched, never bolted together as an afterthought.

Nothing is made until it's ordered, every customisation is built into the design rather than added on top, and the cost of any size or height upgrade is shown clearly before a customer commits.
